These experiences were then categorized into five types of play in order to investigate the actual conditions and development of them.Outdoor play reaches its maximum later in childhood, and develops into ball play and several other sports. Indoor play gradually grows in number throughout the later part of childhood and adolescence, by which time various kinds of card, board and video games are added.
